26th March ... C-GGOK ... Bombardier Dash 8-Q402 ... Jazz Air (AC Express) ... exported to Kenya, was retired 25th August 2025 and since stored in Muskoka ON, St Thomas ON, Halifax NS and Barrie Orillia ON.
27th March ... C-FQWE ... Bombardier Dash 8-Q402 ... WestJet Encore ... ferried to Brisbane for Sunstate A/L (QantasLink) to become VH-84J. Retired 1st June 2023 and stored in Calgary, Muskoka ON and Sault Ste Marie ON since registered to JD Aero.
ACCIDENTS
22nd March ... C-GNJZ ... Bombardier CRJ-900LR ... Jazz Air (AC Express) ... La Guardia airport New York [LGA] ... collided with an airport fire truck on landing killing the captain and first officer.
20th March ... BC Transport & Transit Minister Mike Farnworth discussed lobbying the federal government for a new airport in South Surrey. He seems to have forgotten the existence of Abbotsford and a purpose built terminal building at Boundary Bay that barely sustained brief scheduled service and likewise at Pitt Meadows and Langley.
23rd March ... Jim Liu of Aeroroutes report WestJet are expanding their codeshare agreement with SAS via Copenhagen onward to 9 destinations within Scandinavia plus Dusseldorf from 29th March.
25th March ... next Air Canada 737-8 registered C-GMLZ, first flew 8th March, presumably it will be delivered directly to Rouge.
25th March ... Harbour Air announce re-launch of twice daily Vancouver Coal Harbour to Seattle Lake Union on 13th April as well as a new route from Victoria Harbour once daily commencing 11th June. In addition there are two more new routes from Vancouver Coal Harbour to Ucluelet once daily from 25th June and Campbell River once daily from 6th July, presumambly The Spit rather than YBL.
25th March ... Porter Airlines announce a new hub at St Hubert QC [YHU] now named Montreal Metropolitan Airport with 12 routes including YVR, which will commence from 15th June.
25th March ... Jim Liu of Aeroroutes reports American Airlines will replace the 737-800 with the A321NEO on the Los Angeles route AA1719 between 21st May to 4th August (except Tuesday until 29th June which will still be 737-800).
26th March ... WestJet Rewards announce partnership with Canadian Tire Trinagle Rewards whereby users can link their accounts to earn both WS dollars and CT money on the same purchases (which also includes SportChek, Marks and others already in the CT money program).
27th March ... final Air North flight to Yellowknife NT for the season, will resume 22nd August.
27th March ... Jim Liu of Aeroroutes reports Qantas will extend the 4th weekly Sydney flight to 6th May.
29th March ... AC routes being transferred to Rouge on the 737-8 in addition to already transferred routes (Cancun, Edmonton & Kelowna and Kelowna - Toronto) for April: 2nd Puerto Vallarta, 12th Huatulco, 13th San Jose del Cabo, 15th Miami, 17th Las Vegas, 19th Los Angeles, 26th Mexico City.
29th March ... Flair resume Montreal from 15th April.
29th March ... KLM switch to summer equipment today on KL681/2 from A330-200 to 787-10 for the first time, then 777-300ER from 19th May.
29th March ... Lufthansa also switch to summer equipment on the Frankfurt route LH492/3 today from A340-300 to 747-400.
30th March ... British Airways to commence second summer Heathrow flight BA86/87 with 787-8, switching to 787-9 from 15th April. Year round BA84/85 reverts to 777-200ER until 6th July.

27th March ... 9H-NEAH ... Dassault Falcon 7X ... Jethouse [Brussels]
29th March ... 130612 ... Lockheed CC-130J Super Hercules ... RCAF 436 Squadron [Trenton ON]
22nd March ... honorable mention to Whitehorse who got a delivery flight of Indonesian Air Force Airbus A400M-180 Atlas with serial A-4002 on delivery from the factory in Seville via St Johns NB and onward to Hakodate, Tarakan Juwata and Jakarta Halim.
25th March ... honorable mention to Pitt Meadows who held some Cirrus demo flights and saw the visit of SF50 N865CV (which later came to YVR) plus two SR22 G7+ (and a mock up at Jack Poole Plaza downtown).
