Honorable mention to Pitt Meadows on March 12th where I saw this VIH Helicopters [Victoria BC YYJ] C-GQNG Sikorsky S-61 Short. Not only is it coming up 66 years young, originally built as an L model, it was converted by Carson Helicopters to an N model which includes new blades which increase lifting capacity to 10,000 lbs. The Short or "Shortsky" as it is usually nicknamed has a cabin length reduction of 50" behind the cockpit which further increases lifting capacity primarily for heli logging and other sling work.
