NEWS OF THE WEEK
21st May ... Air Canada A220 C-GWUT operating flight AC222 to Calgary [YYC] hit a coyote on take off, damage was minimal and the flight departed 6 hours later.
25th May ... the federal government announce a reserve fire fighting fleet available to all provinces and territories managed by CIFFC (Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre) effective 1st May to 27th September. 10 aircraft are involved and all are from BC companies, 4x Dash 8-Q400AT's plus a TBM960 bird dog from Conair [Abbotsford] and 6 helicopters from Coldstream Helicopters [Kelowna] who operate 9x Super Puma's, 2x B212's and 1x AS350 and VIH Helicopters [Victoria] who operate 6x S61's, 6x S92's, 4x B206's, 1x B407 and 1x B47 plus 3x Russian Kamov KA32's which are grounded due to parts sourcing issues. The deal is for 3x Puma's from Coldstream with underslung buckets carrying 3410 or 4000 litres and 2x S92 Fire Raptor's from VIH with 5000 litre Helitak tanks that can be refilled in 48 seconds!

27th May ... Jim Liu of AeroRoutes reports American A/L has also added codeshare partnership with Fiji A/W on their Nadi [NAN] route from 23rd May.
29th May ... Delta A/L announce new twice daily service from Los Angeles [LAX] from 21st November with A319. Previously served in 2018, that will be 6 carriers on the route.

1st July ... BA86/7 second London Heathrow [LHR] flights changes from 787-8 to 777-200ER until 1st September when it reverts to 787-8 until final flight 1st October.
6th July ... BA84/5 from London Heathrow [LHR] changes from 777-200ER to A350-1000 until 8th September when it reverts back for winter season.
