17th September ... Jim Liu of Aeroroutes reports Air Canada will switch Los Angeles [LAX] to all A220 for early spring 4x daily from 1st March 2027 so far published to 30th April.
18th September ... Jim Liu of Aeroroutes reports Air Canada will resume their seasonal Osaka [KIX] earlier than usual from 2nd March 2027 after 3 month seasonal suspension. AC23/24 dep 1445 / arr 1230 with B787-9 4x weekly.
18th September ... final summer seasonal British A/W London Gatwick [LGW] flight BA2278/9, operated by G-VIIT. We will have to see if the B777-200 (ER) is still in service next summer.
20th September ... AC35 to Brisbane [BNE] operated by B787-9 C-FVND diverted to Coolangatta Gold Coast [OOL] due to fog.
21st September ... Jim Liu also reports China A/L effective mid September have increased their codeshare agreement with WestJet covering a 13 further routes including 11 from YVR to Comox [YQQ], Halifax [YHZ], Honolulu [HNL], Kahului [OGG], Kelowna [YLW], Las Vegas [LAS], Nanaimo [YCD], Palm Springs [PSP], Phoenix [PHX], Saskatoon [YXE] and Winnipeg [YWG].
23rd September ... Air Canada announce cancellation of their Singapore [SIN] route from 26th January 2027. Current schedule is AC19/20 dep 2315 / arr 0745 with B787-9 (I saw a B777-200LR sub the other day).
22nd September ... 21 teams from the YVR community pulled a WestJet Encore Q400 across the ramp at Signature Aviation in support of Hope Air. The aircraft that got the honour was C-GWEJ. Over $125,000 was raised for patients in remote communites to access the healthcare they need. The winner was Neptune Terminals (ocean bulk terminal operator in North Vancouver) with a time of 32.93 seconds.
23rd September ... Pacific Coastal A/L announce they have entered into an interline partnership with Air Canada. Passengers can connect seamlessly on one ticket between Pacific Coastal and Air Canada, AC Rouge and AC Express flights.
24th September ... following a visit from Vietnam general secretary To Lam to Ottawa, the two countries announce an expanded trade agreement which includes facilitating moving goods by air specifically resulting in a) up to 14 weekly passenger combination flights per country b) up to 7 weekly all cargo flights per country and c) fifth freedom rights for all cargo flights (the ability to operate flights between two foreign countries if the flight starts or ends in the airlines home country). In relation to point c), it is worth noting that Cargojet currently operate flights from China with a tech stop in Narita (due to 767 range restrictions) on behalf of global integrators, e-commerce and online marketplace providers.
24th September ... the Australian High Commission in Canada met with Qantas who plan on increased service to Canada.
25th September ... Talon Helicopters (based YVR) sign a further agreement with Pacific Pilotage Authority for North Coast helicopter transfer services. The new service will support BC Coast Pilots Ltd in Kitimat. This is in addition to the existing South Coast service for BC Coast Pilots and Fraser River Pilots when the Dauphin received titles accordingly.
27th September ... ANA flight NH116 from Haneda [HND] turned back to origin, flight operated by B787-9 JA897A. Arrival is showing as 0700 tomorrow, 16h10 late, with return NH115 scheduled for 0850 departure.

I have noticed for the last 4 weeks now that TK Sunday service is operated by B787-9 rather than the usual B777-300ER - TC-LLG seen in the days before unending construction...
Shout out to Victoria where Tim Martin saw arrival of this Sikorsky S-92A at VIH on 18th September, clearly another ex PHI machine and quite likely a new addition for Fire Dragon conversion.
